Stunning set of two (2) late 19c Antique Green Majolica Grape Leaf Green Pottery Plates. Sold "As Is"—sourced from an estate sale. It has not been cleaned or repaired; wear is consistent with vintage and is considered in very good condition with no visible chips or cracks. Please refer to the photos for the item's condition.

 

These are a nice representation of majolica pottery adorned with grape leaves. It is unmarked, but most likely Wedgewood Grape Leaf. Founded by Josiah Wedgwood I in 1759, aged just 29, he started as an independent potter in Burslem, England. Over 260 years later, Wedgwood is still producing many of the materials Josiah invented, such as Jasper, Queen's Ware, and Black Basalt.
